PayPal Fastlane: A Faster Checkout Experience for Your Buyers

If you're a US based seller using PayPal to collect payments through Payable Forms and your account has been enabled for PayPal Card Payments via the PayPal Commerce Platform, you may start to notice a new feature appearing on your checkout pages: PayPal Fastlane.

PayPal Fastlane is a new, streamlined checkout experience designed to help your repeat buyers pay faster and more easily. When a buyer enters their email address on your Payable Form, Fastlane will securely check (in the background) if that buyer has previously saved a card on file with PayPal.

If a match is found, PayPal will send the buyer a one-time passcode to verify their identity. Once entered, their stored payment and billing information will be automatically filled in—making the checkout process quick, seamless, and error-free.

For sellers who frequently have repeat customers—whether you're running class registrations, sports leagues, or selling event tickets—this can be a game-changer. Buyers no longer need to re-enter their information every time they complete a Payable Form. Instead, they’ll enjoy a familiar and frictionless experience that can increase satisfaction and boost conversion rates.

No problem. First-time buyers will see the option to opt in to Fastlane during their initial checkout. It’s entirely optional, and they can choose to save their info or check out as usual. Once enrolled, they’ll benefit from a faster checkout on any future Payable Forms or other online checkouts that support Fastlane.
