How to customize the 4 different Payable messages

With the Payable Forms add-on we automatically generate messages displayed and sent to your customers after the submission of your form. There are 4 different messages that you may customize.

1. The Submission Confirmation Message

This message is displayed on-screen after your form has been submit, it is the landing page between your form and the Payable checkout.

Do not edit the dynamic link portion of this message.

How to Customize It

  1. Click on the Settings header at the top of your form

  2. Expand the Presentation section

  3. Click the Edit button beside Confirmation Message

  4. Save when complete

2. The Order Submission Email Body

When your form is submit we immediately email the customer a summary of their order and the link to their Payable invoice. You can customize the content of this email message.

Do not edit the existing Payable text in this field. You cannot add additional dynamic fields to it, nor images.

How to Customize It

  1. Click on the Add-Ons puzzle piece icon in the form's toolbar

  2. Click on Payable Forms in the Add-Ons menu

  3. Click Configure Payment Settings in the Payable menu, this will open the sidebar

  4. Go to the Notification Settings section of your sidebar

  5. Add your message to the Amount Order Email Body field

3. The Free Order Email Body

This is the email notification we email to the customer when their submission of your form does not generate a balance owing on the Payable invoice. If you are giving your customers the option to submit your form without choosing any items for purchase, you can customize this message to them.

How to Customize It

  1. Click on the Add-Ons puzzle piece icon in the form's toolbar

  2. Click on Payable Forms in the Add-Ons menu

  3. Click Configure Payment Settings in the Payable menu, this will open the sidebar

  4. Go to the Notification Settings section of your sidebar

  5. Add your message to the Free Order Email Body field


4. The Post-Payment Message

The last message your customers will receive is the Post-Payment Message, this is displayed to the buyer only once they have completed their order with payment. In this field you can relay information you do not want to share with the user until they have paid for your goods or services.

  1. Click on the Add-Ons puzzle piece icon in the form's toolbar

  2. Click on Payable Forms in the Add-Ons menu

  3. Click Configure Payment Settings in the Payable menu, this will open the sidebar

  4. Go to the Checkout Settings in the Payable sidebar

  5. Scroll down to the Post-Payment Message field

  6. Enter your custom message

This field comes in handy if you want to share the url to a document or digital good, a password, quiz, or just a final message of thanks to your customer.
