If you're reading this you already know how easy it is to get started with Payable Apps to process sales through your Google Form or Sheet - but what if you want to sell multiples of the products or services you offer? No problem, just keep reading!
The Basic Payable Format
Payable amounts, that is items that you want to sell through your form, need to go in response fields following the format of {item description} - {price}. This way, the user selects the item(s) they want to purchase, and we tally the responses chosen by the user to create the Payable invoice for their order.
Sample Question
Here we've got a checkbox format question for a variety of merchandise. With this question format the customer can select multiple items from this assortment.

How to Sell Quantities
Just as you create payable amounts to go in response fields, when you want to offer multiples of a product you just need to create those quantity options and price them out accordingly.
Here's an example of a quantity sales simple question set-up:
The chosen question format of Dropdown helps keep the form appearance tidy, as the available options are hidden in a dropdown menu.
With this question format we use the question title + chosen response to create the line item descriptor on the invoice, so in this instance a line item could read "Payable Embroidered Toque - Two - $28" if the customer chooses the option to purchase 2 toques.
Here's an example of a question that factors in quantity and size:
The Checkbox Grid format question is best to use when you have 2 variables for an item; in this example the quantity/price is one variable, while the item size is the other variable. Instead of size, colour might be another variable you want to account form.
With this question format we combine the chosen row + column descriptors to create the invoiced line item, so if a customer chose to order 4 of the Logo T in Size M, their invoice would read "Logo T | Size M {Qty 4} - $48.95".
Sample Payment Section
Don't forget, when setting up a Payable Form you can click the Add Sample Payment Section setup step to insert an array of payable example questions to your form. These examples show how to use different question formats for different purposes. You can modify them to suit your needs, or just delete the questions from your form when you're done.
